Fluoride Removal Wastewater Treatment System (U.I.system F)

Fluoride does not exist in nature in its pure form;
it is usually found as various fluoride compounds.
In industries such as electronics, glass processing, and etching operations,
these fluoride compounds are widely used and appear in wastewater as fluoride ions.

According to the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT),
the environmental standard for fluoride concentration in discharged wastewater is
less than 5 mg/L — a very strict and difficult standard to meet.

The common treatment method involves adding calcium hydroxide (slaked lime),
which binds with fluoride ions to form calcium fluoride (CaF₂), allowing it to settle.
However, this method alone has limitations in achieving sufficient reduction levels.

Our company has successfully developed a system that incorporates
two additional specialized treatment steps,
combined with a PLC-controlled batch precipitation process,
achieving a significantly higher fluoride removal efficiency.
